For all our jet-setters, keep your skin looking healthy and fresh with these easy beauty hacks.
Traveling can take a toll on our complexion. Recycled-air can deplete moisture from the skin and hold in bacteria leaving your face looking parched, puffy and congested. No worries, we know just the way to get you off the plane glowing.
Hydrate. A few days pre-departure, increase your H20 and electrolyte intake, while reducing your coffee habit. Water is great for your skin and overall health of the body. It’s even more essential while flying because you are in a dehydrating environment.
Prep. Moisturize thickly the night before. Even if your skin is oily, step up your routine with a beauty fluid that contains essential oils. Extra hydration will help keep skin silky smooth pre-, mid- and post-flight.
Pack. Purchase travel-sized everything of your fave products so your routine stays consistent even when you’re on the road. Think small and efficient, so you’ll be set to jet at a moment’s notice.
Protect pre-flight. Before reaching 30,000 ft, apply your sunscreen. UV-rays are stronger because you’re closer to the sun. P.S. SPF is always a good idea, even indoors (or in planes, trains and autos).
Refresh mid-flight. Three steps to remember: wash, layer and dab. Wash your hands before any application. You’re in a human petri dish, so don’t transfer germs to your face. Layer on a hydrating beauty fluid to keep your skin looking healthy and youthful. Dab away oily spots (rather than cleansing) to eliminate unwanted shine.
Re-vamp post-flight. Feel free to cleanse now that you’re back on land. Continue to reapply SPF and beauty hydrators. Incorporate a replenishing mist. Those that contain essential oils will brighten the appearance of skin while hydrating.
